Hi Everyone, I lost my pain management doctor because he was no longer taking my insurance. So I made an appointment with another doctor but I was going to be out of medicaiton by then. I ran out and hadn't had any pain medication (Ny****a and Exalgo) for about 4 days, I was feeling sick and tired etc but I couldn't get in to doctor any sooner. So I was in the kitchen and I woke up in ambulance. My son saw the 1st seizure and called 911. I had a few other seizures on way to hospital and then 2 more in hospital. I have lot of memory loss, short term. Anyway was wondering if anyone has had something like this happen or know anyone who has? Thanks for any information!

hope,….. will you email me the name of the medication and I will check out why it wont post here for you. Sometimes a filter does this by mistake.

Just click on my name here and my email address is there. Is it Nucynta? I find that there are several different ways to spell it. I'm not sure why you were able to spell it at the end of your post. Odd!

Hopeless...I'm sure that was very scary!! I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you...

Do you take any other medications for any other issues besides these two?

I don't see anything on the literature for either of those medications that would cause a seizure if stopping abruptly...The main issues are like most opiates of sweating, nausea, insomnia, and shaking, restless legs...etc.

It only mentions seizures when mixing with other medications like certain antidepressants...or if a patient has a history of seizure disorders...

I would certainly talk with a Dr. to find out if there is anything else going on or making sure that if you are on other medicines...to have the Pharmacy run a check comparing all your meds..
