I am back at the forum been a long time it seems like.

 

    ....yes!...you are correct Stray!   I'm ready for a little break...so I will be gone for a few days....and since I'm not working this weekend...it will be a good one.

    I'm glad you're back, and hopefully Chutz is feeling better too!

       I will peek in after hours, to hammer any spammers out of the way....but until then take care all!

OMG, I a sooo happy to see you back! It feels so good to see the friends I made here reappear in my life. The internet can be a wonderful thing, but such a frustration when it is acting nuts.

Hey Straydog, just a line to let you know we are glad you are back, and by we I mean me, lol.  Everyone missed you.  Hope you are feeling well, and glad to have you back.(See what I mean about repeating myself, I didnt even let a line go by).  Ok bye for now, we are moving tonight and tomorrow, and by we, I mean my soon to be son in law.  This is one of the many reasons I love him so much, he hates to see woman do physical work.

I should be ashamed, being the feminist I am, but a crippled feminist, so I have no problem stepping back from that kind of work.

I'm sure glad you are back up and running again. It's a strange and frustrating feeling to have someone pull the plug when you have things to do online. You've been battling your old service so long....glad you have a new provider. It's the "vote with your dollars" plan that gets results.

The forum has been very warm and peaceful. As always, the members gather round to support those who are having issues with health care providers, family and their illness in general. For me, I'm still waiting for someone to find away for the pain to just go away. Really stinks some days...lol.. and to regain some of my misplaced energy. It's probably in the same place where I lost my extra set of truck keys!

Thanks gang, it was awful and I spent most of my time being so mad and stressed out. I would try to get online and just as I thought I was going to be ok, the signal would be lost. I got so tired of rebooting, I just gave up.

Then the mess the phone company puts you through, you have to speak with people in India first, many, many times if you can understand them. Not going to tell you how those calls went, that kind of language is not allowed here. But, hold on the repair people are just as bad, not once did any of them ever agree on what the problem was. I don't really think they knew or cared.

They actually came out and put a new line in from the house to the box behind our house. That did nothing except tear up the new sod I had put down in May. I mean we are talking major kill of the new sod. Yes, that was another issue with them. I had to re-sod the entire yard behind the pool this year. I put down 100 pieces, thats how I messed up my neck & shoulder a second time. The first time was in April from lifting a heavy jug of Tide doing mega laundry one day.

My installer was another disaster and another story. I was ready throw him out the front door. I did ask him if he really was capable of doing the job or not. We did a bundle with the phone company, internet, Dish & house phone.

I must admit I have something called Uverse for internet and it is really fast compared to the DSL. The ads above load very quickly none of that lag time I was experiencing before.

Mindy that is a very good way to describe not having internet, the world has shrunk, lol. Mine sure did but its a big world again, lol.

Hey Susie, I've been a stranger for a while too! I was just checking in and saw your name so had to say Hi!!! Hope all is well w/ You and Yours!!! Good to be back again. It's great to see there are still lots of old friends here on H.W.!!!!!
