Hi Everyone nice to meet you all,
Back pain is not fun and I've been dealing with it for 3 years and has really affected my life but I'm determined to beat it. I believe my problem lies in the sacroiliac joint, located in the pelvis, between the illium and sacrum. This discorder is also known as Sacroiliac joint dysfunction and causes more then 90% of lower back pain.
Essentially, the pelvis is the foundation of your body and once it becomes compromised, it will rotate forward on the sacrum. This loss of function disrupts the system and biomechanics of the loading forces within the pelvis. All the forces of the body are grounded through the pelvis, it's where the forces of the body, from the feet meet the forces of the head.
Everything pushes towards the key stone (sacrum) located right in the middle of our pelvis. The SI joints (sacrolialiac joints) are ligaments that hold the sacrum to the pelvis. These massive ligs are huge but they can be injuried and be stretched and once stretched, the SI joints are disabled and unable to do their job properly.
Once the SI joints have lost their loading capabilities, forces with be placed on other parts of the body (lumbar, cervical, thoracic, elbows, knees, everywhere).
I believe treating the SI joints could give me a very good chance at hitting the problem at the root and stopping the accelerated detioration on your bodyies joints. There are several ways I can combat this problem.
By XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXadjusting the SI joints in the proper position and hope they hold themselves and if they don''t hold themselves then I could try prolotherapy to aid the ligs to tighten.
Who needs to spend money on useless physiotherapists who treat the symptoms and couldn't care the slighted whether you heal or not and get pay at the end of each treatment, no matter what happens. I don't mean to sound negative but it's true. I have met some good therapists though and truly are good at what they do but they are about only 1 out of a 100.
Sorry for the ramble of info but I thought I'd give my understanding of what I think is my problem. Has anyone tried prolotherapy for the SI joints? If so, please can you give me your story about the exeperience (how many shots? ultrasound guided? only certain ligs? ect). Any advice or experiences with prolotherapy and Sacroiliac joint dysfunction would greatly be appreciated :)
