Hey everyone, hope you're having a goo holiday season. :)

I haven't been on much because I have had two computers break down on me within a week! I've also been busy with appointments and Christmas stuff. But yeah, my large PC has a video card busted...and my laptop that I always used is toast. So now I am on this tiny notebook pc thing...not my favorite. :P

I have a PM appointment tomorrow, so I hope it goes ok. I'm supposed to get a facet joint injection. I don't expect it to be miraculous, but it would be nice if it helped even a little and/or with my stiffness at my middle. So I'll take what I can get, and try what I can while I wait for my surgeon appointment next month.

I'm also wishing I was on a different pain killer...my tramadol doesn't really do anything for me. I'm scared of having to 'deal' with this level of pain with just this medication forever. Hopefully I can find something that helps me better somehow. Been hurting more than usual lately, so I have been using lots of heat and Bengay. lol!

Hi Misterkatamari,

I hope your PM visit goes well. I use Tramadol (Ultram ER) and though it helped in the past, I need something stronger. Hopefully, your PM will find the right med for you.

Good luck with the facet injections. If they help, not only will you get some relief, but also some helpful diagnostic information for future treatment.

Hi Mister I sure do hope things go well tomorrow for you with the dr. I can totally related to the computer problems too, I had mine in for repairs last month and then last night it went out again. I am ready to pitch it out the window if you want to know the truth, lol.

We had a great Christmas, but I also have a 6 year old grandson that makes it for me and the rest of the family. Can't go wrong when you have little ones around.

Please keep us posted on how your appt goes.

Awe, so very sorry about your computer troubles...at least Graphics Cards aren't so
very expensive anymore, check out www.newegg.com or for help www.overclockersforum.com
these are great sites for building a new rig (computer) and it's not so hard, However, the lap top needs
to get in for repairs, so that might be expensive or wait til you can get a good value on a mac
laptop...Mac lap tops are good....or you can find a Linux lap top....many well wishes on the injections
Hope they can give you some relief from your pain...keep us posted on those injections...

Thanks everyone. I finally got my video card replaced, so now I can use my PC again instead of the awful mini.

I also got my injections. My doc actually did 3 injection sites, I guess at 3 different facet joints that he felt were the worst or most likely to cause pain. I just had it done yesterday, so I am still sort of feeling worse than usual due to the steroid stuff. The actual injections were easier than the disc ones, though, it didn't hurt as much when he put the needles in. I have another set of injections in 3 weeks and a follow up in 2.

So yeah, I don't know if it helped yet, but I'm hoping. :P
