Today is Just a beautiful day

It is so nice out today, I can go out and just sit watch the brids and squirrels, Its not hot and its breezy, I love days like that, Sitting on my swing and enjoying the simple things that life  offers and somewhere in my pain and woes I forget to see, And here Texas you have to really catch those days because soon it will be to hot and I will be gronning about it , I hope that others are having a little less pain in there day today

It's a beautiful day here today too (in GA). The storms passed from yesterday and water is still standing everywhere. The sun is shining and will dry it up soon, but we needed the rain desperately.

I think everyone could use a little weather boost about right now and I'm happy to see such a positive post early this morning.

Renee, this crazy bird is pecking on tin, wow, what a sound that must make. I did not realize that woodpeckers would come back to the same tree every year either. The 2nd one on my side of the street has shown up at his tree three houses down from me, so I am getting double time out of those guys, lol.

When I was a kid we lived in Ohio for a while and we had red headed woodpeckers there, these are not the red heads. I am going to try to get some binoculars out and see if I can get a look at the guy across the street, I would like to get a good look at him. Guess I need to alert my neighbor ahead of time, sure would not want her thinking I am peeping on her, lol.

Our typical Texas weather is in full boom, it changes from moment to moment. I have already got the summer clothes out and worn them, lol. It was just too hot for jeans one day last week, nearly 80. I just looked at the weather on my phone and we are going to be on the roller coaster in temps, ranging from mid 40's to mid 70's. The other day when it was so warm I almost turned the AC on but fought it and said to myself its too early for that. I have outrageous electric bills as it is being all electric in a two story house.

The Bradford pear trees are in full bloom and real pretty right now. We still have 2 more weeks of winter left.

I hope everyone is having mild temps right now.

Stray...can you eat those pears? (I don't know much of anything about certain trees or gardening....so sorry if that is a silly question)...

There is an apple tree in my mom's backyard but they are really small...(bigger than crab apples)...but we've never eaten any...

So was just curious...It would be yummy to have fresh pears!

I will have to Google what your trees look like...They sound pretty!

This particular tree didn't seem to bear edible apples....not like anything you see in the store...They were about the size in between a golf ball/tennis ball...but all mangled and just didn't look good...But the tree itself is nice to view out the window...

And since her house backs up to a forest/creek and not fenced in, there are plenty of deer and other critters that are happy to enjoy the mutant apples! LOL

Without going too far off tangent...I grew up around car racing (SCCA for those who know)...and we would drive up many weekends a month in the summer to WV to the race track...Along the way...we would pass these farms that had all the "good" apple trees and hop out of the car and go steal a few to make for a pie or apple butter!!!

I know...shame on us...our mom taught us to be thieves! LOL....I promise I don't do this now:) haha
