Pain and depression

Hi, I'm new here. I'm in desperate mode,I'm sensitive to all meds but Tylenol,which doesn't help much. meds either make me zombielike or makes me have anxiety sometimes turning into panic attacks.Dr's send me from one to another because they can't fix me w/a pill. You can see in their face they hate to see me coming. I have fibro and nerve damage. It gets really bad when its going to rain. A friend of mine went to see her daughter in Arizona, and says she doesn't hurt a bit there. We live in Al. Would really like to know if anyone is in my predicment. I have fatty liver from statin drug, so have to use Tylenol sparingly.

Welcome to the board. I'm sorry you are suffering so much, though, and having a hard time finding something that works.
I, too, have fibro as well as many other health/pain issues. It's tough, that's for sure.

I know that several people here have drug sensitivities and/or it's taken a long time to find the "right" medication for them. It actually took me several years - and MUCH trial/error - to find the right combo of stuff for me. Maybe you could tell us more about what you've tried/haven't tried.... Have you tried the nerve meds? Muscle relaxers for the fibro? Etc.

I know what you mean about going from doctor to doctor. I think doctors get very frustrated when they can't "fix" something.... I've been there, that's for sure.

I'm sorry you are in such a panic state right now. I understand how that feels because I used to be there too. I used to be sooooo scared of every medication that I was afraid taking them was going to cause me to pass away. It was part of a condition I needed help for and counseling for. This may be the best board for you, but you may also find great help on the anxiety or depression areas of healingwell. I may have listed that wrong, but you can look at the top drop down box that says chronic pain right now and then go to any board you wish. You may find that the medication issues are related to the overall issues you are facing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not condemning in any way. I understand. I still have a very difficult time forcing myself to try new meds because I have had so many very real reactions (not panic reactions)...I now know the difference.. I had to get help for that issues before I could begin to face the other issues going on in my life and it is possible. I still see someone now, but it is not the same at all. Now, he helps me with chronic pain issues and just gives me understanding and patience when I need it. There was a time, a long time ago, however, that he was my only link to dealing with what was going on in my own body.
