Going to South Korea to get cured of spasmodic torticollis

Hi. I'm a man, 44 years, and I have spasmodic torticollis (cervical dystonia) since 1 year. I absolutely do not want to get botox injections or undergo surgery. Shortly after the diagnosis I started with an all-natural approach (stretching, fitness, nutrition, massage, posture, etc.). In the beginning my head was almost constantly yanked to the left, but now my head is straight and not many people can see that something is going on with my neck. So it is much, much better!
Yet my ST is still there... And I found a clinic in South Korea (www.fcst.co.kr), where the treating physician (Dr. Young-Jun Lee) says he can definitely cure ST, in particular by aligning the temporomandibular joint - and thus the upper cervical vertebrae. I've seen online videos that look very convincing and Dr. Lee told me he can give me my life back. So I decided to go there. On May 5, 2012, I fly to Seoul. AWESOME!! I have alot on my plate these next few weeks... but i try to always visit healing well to see how everyone is doing. and i definately will see how you are doing!

Hi CCD,

I checked out that website you posted. Sadly I never took the time to learn more Korean from my mother. I was born in Pusan which has now been renamed to Busan.

It sounds like he's doing cranio sacral therapy. Have you checked the Upledger site to see if there is anyone closer to you that does it.

I know I did several rounds of cranio and it did nothing for my headaches but did get rid of my TMJ and reduced some of my neck pain.

Yes cranio sacral therapy is done in Canada and I'm sure the states as well, if that is what he will be doing. I have this therapy at two different time periods but did not get any relief from my tmj/headaches.

Hi. Indeed, he also applies craneo sacral therapy, as an addition to the main method, which is the alignment of the joints of the jaw. He calls it FCST (see my above post). So craneo sacral therapy is just a supportive part (like acupuncture, and herbal medicine).
