The weekend was fine...as weekends go. Pain levels just won't get where I want them. My main concern is hubby. He's really very sick and until last evening, wouldn't even talk about
it. He's having horrible bouts of vomiting and terrible stomach problems. I finally got him to talk (just a little bit) last night and he has agreed completely to go to the DR as soon as I can get him in. I'm thinking the gastro, since she is by far the best. He has his own issues that I do not wish to discuss, but the gastro and I are friends as well as dr/patient and she was going to work on that issue too the next time she saw him.....of course, he has put it off as long as humanly possible....to the point they won't do any refills on his meds until he sees her (but somehow he has some old meds left over from me filling a day or two early). He has a bizarre condition where he has to take singular to keep the strictures from forming in his esophogus....like many, many of them in a row. Singular is the only thing that works....He also takes Dexilant, but nothing else in the meds department.
So in a few hours I go in for trigger point injections. I have a little time for my meds to get into my system so I can have something to numb the overall pain of the injections (I'm sure I'll get 30-45 or so) and it takes its toll after a few. You guys know how it is. He has to be there as a driver (and then we are hunting his gastro). I'm sure I can get him in with her if I can only find her for a few minutes and get to talk to her. i'll do everything I can for him! I'm afraid he either has to have his gallbladder out, has pancreititis (sp) or is having some sort of liver problem. He thinks it is just an ulcer. I'm really afraid for him.....this was bound to happen some day.
Anyway...wish us luck today and I will wish everyone a pain free week to come.
I enjoy the Monday check-in's because it gives us a chance to see how our friends are actually doing. I love the new members, but it is difficult to keep up with all the new people (and yes...I was new once too and very happy for the welcome and the support). If I fail to say hello to a newbie or even an old friend, please forgive another person in pain, who loves each of you as her own family and finds many hours of pleasure when someone here has a good day.
