I'm so sorry your having so much trouble. I'm also out on work comp, and it has been a real pain in the behind. If you don't have an attorney to fight your case for you, you should look into getting one. I dont know much about work comp laws in other states, but in California where I live, you dont have to pay a work comp attorney out of pocket, they have to be paid by either your insurance company, or by part of the disability benefits that you would get after your claim has reached a point of being permanent and stationary, or maximum medical improvement.
Have you seen a pain management specialist yet? From what you implied, it sounds like your nlt receiving any medications, which tells me you're probably still with the doctors your employer sent you to. You have a right to see a specialist for any condition under work comp law in my state, and you have a right to pick your own primary treating physician too.
You really need to get a consult with an attorney if you haven't done so, and one whos a good trial lawyer who's not affraid to take the IC to court, there's just too many twists and turns to the work comp world, not including immoral claims adjusters that bully people around to save the insurance company money.
If you're having trouble with pain, everyone here is wonderful support. But for workers compensation issues, an attorney is going to be your best source of advice. There's a forum that I use for alot of my generic work comp questions, some of the members there are permanently disabled, and have taken upon themselves to learn almost as much about the system as an attorney, and give all their knowledge out for free, it's really a wonderful tool to learn alot of the details that your insurance company won't tell you, because they want to save money.
The website is www.workerscompensationinsurance.com it is a free tool just like this forum, and theres a number of knowledgeable people who volunteer their time to it.
I hope that helps some, and like I said, all the people here are great, and so supportive, I hope you'll stick around. Take care.
