I've missed welcoming several new members as I've been on vacation for three weeks so i thought I would do a big shout out welcome to all new comers. Glad you found us but sorry you are suffering with chronic pain. Myself, I have intractable headaches, now more than twelve years, have tried everything possible, ie. treatments, specialists, meds, etc and nothing has helped me. I am currently in the process of work up for an occipital nerve stimulator.

Also thought I'd ask my yearly question to members to see where everyone lives. I always have my atlas nearby and love looking up new places.

So where do you live? I am in Ontario, Canada.

I am David, aka Purgatory, been posting in here last 2-3 months, but mostly in the Prostate Cancer group.

I live in Easley, South Carolina. 10 miles west of Greenville, SC, we are halfway between Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA.

I am Maryann and I have NF type 2. You can google it but NF causes tumors (mostly non-cancer) to grow on nerves in the brain and spine. People with NF type 1 have tumors that grow on the outside of their skin also. Doctors use to think it was related to Elephant's Man disease but now they aren't sure.

hey kaely, where in Maine? we are talking about doing our holidays next summer in Maine, camping along the coast, i have heard it is so beautiful there.

…another good thread to bump up! If you are a visitor and have been lurking for some time….we invite you to join us here on the Chronic Pain forum. Feel free to post an introduction, and share with us as much information as to what brought you here.

The weekends can be a little slow here, so give the members plenty of time to respond, and be patient. We also invite you to review the forum rules, and take a peek at the "Chronic Pain 101" located at the top of our home page. There is a lot of reading there to keep you busy for quite a while,…."Give it a try!"…lots of great articles!…and Tools!…that may be of use to you.

Tehachapi, California, the birth place of wind energy in the US. And yes I did work on the wind turbines for 4 years lol.
