This might be a silly question, but how do you know the difference between trigger finger and rheumatoid arthritis?
thanks

Trigger finger is a specific problem with one joint, the catches and then releases usually due to tendons (I forget if they are loose or tight).
Rhuematoid arthritis is a systemic, autoimmune disease, that may affect one joint or many and is charcterized by inflamation in the joint space, fever, fatigue and malaise.
Many people with RA will develop trigger finger due to the joint destruction caused by RA.
