This happened last night. Was a bit embarrased, but now I see what I did wrong, and it's my own fault. I figured this warranted a separate thread from the new doctor one.
I finally get a doctor to listen to me and give me something for relief. I took the new meds (flexeril 10mg and tramadol 50mg, meds I've taken before btw), along with my usual psych meds (including klonopin, remeron, and ambien) and a lower dose (30 instead of my usual 50mg) of melatonin at bedtime.
Well. This is one time I'm glad I live with my mother. When I started getting sleepy, I got up to tell her goodnight, and passed right the hell out. No dizziness, no room going white, no warning, just dropped in place midsentence. Orthostatic hypotention (I get that 3-4 times a week normally, it was in the letter I gave the doc, but usually I get a little dizzy when I'm first getting up from a sitting position, I sit back down, and it passes) combined with the fact that this genius right here managed to somehow between the pain, the nervousness about the dr's appt, the drs appointment itself and the aftermath, the 50 mile round trip, dealing with the pharmacy, other errands I had to run during the day, and just not being hungry had not eaten all day. I drink water and diet sodas, so the only calories I had the entire day was the sugar I had in my coffee in the morning.
Evidently my knees just buckled and I went straight down and landed on my backside, then my right shoulder. No lumps or bruises on my head, thank goodness. Mom's an RN, and once the blood pressure recovered when I was flat on the floor, I came to. And now my behind, sacral and lumbar really hurt. She did a neuro check once I came around and I was fine.
So I got something in my stomach, reassured mom I hadn't OD'ed, I had only taken 1 of each, went to bed and slept for 2 hours before the pain woke me up, and I couldn't get back to sleep. Got these brand new scrips in front of me, and I don't want to take them contrary to directions since it took so long to get them, so now... I hurt worse than before. I expect it to get better in the next couple days, if not, I'll have to call the nice man and explain that his patient was an idiot and ask for suggestions. No permanent damage I think. Just extra soreness.
It's always something.
