Hi there...Welcome to the boards..
Sorry to hear about your health/pain issues..It does sound like you may have some depression issues which is very common with those with chronic illnesses.
Have you been to see a Dr. that could help with this? Many of us on here are on antidepressants as well as seek out counseling. It's imperative to take care of ourselves mentally as well as physically and many of us can get so sick and tired of Dr. after Dr. that we push aside the emotional aspect.
I've learned who my family members and friends are that are really ok with me talking honestly about my pain issues...and then there are others that I just decide to not talk at all about it and just enjoy my time with them and use it as an "esacpe" just to laugh and have fun!
Sure, there are some days that I will just stay snuggled in bed and watch some tv/movies...but I try to not have those outnumber the days that I spend with people who I love.
Our pain and health issues are what they are....so I've made a decision over the years to try and be as joyful and happy as I can be in spite of the pain and still try to do everything I can and used to do because I'm going to hurt whether I am at home or not!..
It's also very important to make sure we get decent sleep, eat healthy, drink a good amount of water, and get exercise each day. These are all things that will help us physically and emotionally.
Obviously all of us on this board understand...and it's certainly ok to have our "pity party" days and come here to vent away..So please don't think I am discouraging this at all..
I'm just saying that if you feel that you want to be alone more often than not and are not able to find joy in your life anymore...than it would be a good time to seek out a Psychologist/Psychiatrist to work with them on getting you the appropriate help.
