Just got back from ER

My pain became so intense that I ended up going into the ER. They did an ultrasound and gave me some Dilaudid. At first I thought the Dr. was thinking I was just there for pain meds, but he and I talked and he understood that this was a chronic condition. He discharged me on Dilaudid along with my percocet and tramadol.

Hopefully I can get some sleep tonite. My pain level came down to a manageable level now.

Very glad to hear the ER visit went ok after the dr realized your condition is chronic and long standing. You were very lucky because many of us get no help in ER's, sad but true. My own PM dr is very much aware of how her patients are treated if they end up in ER and there is nothing she can do about it.

I hope you can get some rest and things calm down for you.

Hope your doing better soon, and get lower pain levels soon, seems like a good ER visit which is always good to hear, but so sorry you had to go.

that was an amazingly good ER visit all things considered, least it was understood that you had a real chronic pain situation, and that you werent perceived as being a "drug seeker". In my ER's, it would have been seen that way. Hope you get the relief you so much need.
