Hi folks,

Just wanted to let you know that Barbara is having some eye issues right now & thus isn't online these days. She had an ulcer on her cornea that was scraped off this morning -- says it's the most intense pain ever & she's only allowed 1 drop of eye pain meds every 2 hours. Dr's say takes 2-3 days till initial pain gets better.

Meanwhile she can't really open the eye and isn't up for read/typing/texting all those sorts of things.

Otherwise everything seems to be holding steady and I'm sure she'll be rejoining the conversations as soon as she is able.

Barbara I wish you a speedy recovery severe eye pain is the absolute worst! It makes me cringe to think about how you must feel! Your in my prayers!

Hi Everyone, thanks for all your well wishes and prayers. Man oh man has it been a tough go of it.

Today, is the first day that I have been able to keep my eye open for around 10 to 15 minutes at a time. I have spent the past 8 days laying in the dark with my eye closed. I'm including New Years Eve and Day spent in the ER.

The eye scraping of the corneal ulcer was done Thursday AM. I was totally awake for the procedure they numbed my eye, but I could see everything they were doing to my eye. The Dr wasn't joking when he said I would be in terrible pain for 2-4 days. I feel like I have glass in my eye 24/7. I just lay in bed in a dark room, listening to the TV or my IPOD. My pain has been upwards of 9 out of 10 the first two days. I can thankfully say today is better I'm at a 6 or so. Light hurts hence the darkened room. Hubby just put in all my eye drops, he says the eyeball isn't as red today.

Just wanted to say thanks, I'd love to stay and read but can't do that yet. Wishing you all a low pain day and I miss you all, promise to catch up real soon.
