Hi Guys

A little update on me. I had surgery and made it through ok. I have many health conditions. I am currently dealing with Chronic Myofascial pain Syndrome, Endometriosis, and Fibromyalgia. I am also currently dealing with Chronic fatigue syndrome.

On Monday I started getting a flare from my Endometriosis. I was not able to get into the Doctor until Wed. When they saw me they directly admitted me for pain management. They were also considering doing surgery at that time to take out my left ovary and tube. I talked to my dr on Wednesday night and at that time we decided to go ahead with the surgery. I had the surgery on Friday afternoon.

I am still in a lot of pain, and am currently on a pain pump. My Doctor also just started me on Lyrica to help with my Fibro pain. I should be released from the hospital on Monday. I am not allowed to go back to work for two weeks.

I will be on and off as I can tolerate.

Hi Blue, aw so sorry to hear you landed in the hospital but it sounds like that is where you needed to be. I sure hope now that they have removed the ovary & tube you will finally get some relief from the endo pain. I know from others how they suffer with that mess. I had a sister that had it bad, this was in the 60's and I remember that until she had the hysterectomy she suffered a lot.

Hello, I am glad that you pulled thru surgery. Dont rush going back to work before you are actually capable of working. I had endo and every year I went thru surgeries to remove the endo and it kept coming back. I was trying to get pregnant and I was so miserable with pain that when I turned 40 I said I am ready for a total hysterectomy. Then I finally had no abdominable pain. I didnt take any hormones and the hot flashes got less and less.

Please keep us updated on your healing and all the other issues you have. We are your family also and we do care about you.

Sorry to hear you are in the hospital BlueD...I do hope that the surgery will offer some better pain relief for you in the long run.

May I ask if they did the surgery open or laparoscopically? I was curious as I see you are staying in there for a few days. I have had quite a few lap surgeries over the years due to Endo, rupturing ovarian cysts, as well as too many adhesions to count! Finally put a stop to them as it would only cause more adhesions each surgery...Those were all ones that were done in the morning and home by the afternoon. I joked about one of them where they went ahead and removed my appendix and called it a "drive through organ removal service"....LOL

Glad they have you on the PCA to give you constant pain relief so hope you can just try to "relax"...lol...as much as you can in a hospital...and recover. Take it one day at a time.

*Just wanted to say how interesting it is now with technology to see people online when they are in the hospital...I've always been so out of it after my fusion surgeries I couldn't even watch tv! And even with those they booted me out within a day! haha...

I really hope that the Lyrica starts working for the nerve pain. I know quite a few people on that for Endo issues and have good luck with it...
