2 major things jump out. Cardio, as you mentioned, and gall bladder pain can present as that type of pain as well.

Heart Disease is major problem in my family. My mother had a heart attack and never hurt in her chest, only in her back. You need to get checked out asap. Of course, if could be so many other things. Prayers sent your way.

And as I've pointed out before, ER's and any other doc would rather see 50 cases of indigestion or pulled muscles than a bad cardiac problem. Remember that if the pain lingers or worsens.

Unexplained chest pain, active uncontrolled bleeding, or any blockage of an airway are all immediate dangers, and go straight to the front of the line, no matter what the guy with the broken arm says.

I pulled through the night. My sternum doesnt hurt but the shoulder blades are sore up to a 4. Back hurts 1 hour after I eat. Sounds like gall bladder. I will call a doctors office down the street and see when they can see me. Rule out heart vs gall bladder.

I called a group of physicians down the street. I got an appt on Thursday. So I will be there and afterwards I will tell you what transpired.

Im keeping track of what I eat and how I feel afterwards. The level of my pain, when it happens, how long it lasts., what relieves it.

Im not eligible for medicare until April one year after my ss disability checks started. I have insurance until Feb 6 and they take the insurance.

I will let you know what the doctor found out about me. Tonight I had a bland meal and no pain .

Even a deep muscle muscle spasm around the shoulder blade can be painful and radiate deep, but definitely get yourself checked out my friend. Hoping everything is okay.

hi betsey....that kind of pain can be scary. have you seen a gastroenterologist? i have gastritis with polyps in my stomach. i get a lot of gas. like you i was thinking ball bladder bot the dr said no. but i got symptoms as you describe.....pal pete

Sounds like at least it's not a stone, which is a good thing. But sometimes, there's what they call "sludge" that can kind of clog up the duct that lead out of the gall bladder. The gall bladder is always producing bile, and if a stone is completely blocking it, then there's a major problem, because there's no way to release the pressure. At least with the sludge (actual medical term for it), because it's not solid, it's kind of like quicksand, the pressure builds a little, but the gall bladder can empty. It's really a bunch of tiny gall stones, but there's space between them.

You got a slow drain, not a clogged drain. That's what it boils down to. If it was clogged, you'd be in surgery, but as long as the stuff can pass through, you are good for now. Not pain wise, but you're not in immediate danger.

for dinner I had a small baked chicken breast and boiled egg noodles.  One hour after dinner my shoulder blade pain came back and pain on right side near gallbladder.

 

I soaked in the tub and layed down.  Still hurts.

 

I will monitor my symptoms.

I fell asleep and my puppy woke me up at 1:00 am for potty call, Once I came back in with the pup I realized I had indigestion and back pain. I ate some icemilk and then laid back down .

Pain is at a 6.
