Kbentley24 allot of times they will give steroid packs to treat costochondritis. I have had it before and they gave me a thing called a Medrol Dosepack, it is a corticosteroid and it is often used to fight inflamation, or to prevent it. It is used for allot of arthritic conditions, even Ulcertive Colitis and some breathing conditions. For me it is very effective for the costochondritis. I am on a form of this steroid right now from my back surgery I just had last month, as I have allot of problem with inflamation of the nerves in the area of the surgery, and the steroids just about
immediately relieves the pain! If your pain is caused by inflamtion corticosteroids are fantastic to realieve it! I think there is another name for it to a Z pack anyway it is given over a period of a week. If your pain presist it might be something worth checking out, ask your doctor about
it.
