I have had chronic headaches and muscle pain for over 20 years. I suppose I am lucky that I do not require heavy pain meds to deal. For the most part I am able to ignore it, but some days I just get so frustrated.

I had a massage today which I know in time will help. Feeling achy though as she had to work out quite a few knots in my neck and shoulders. I took an Epsom salt bath and have iced it. I guess all I can do is wait. I guess I just wanted to vent as I know others on here will understand.

Hello Nameles and yes we certainly understand. Sometimes just saying it helps doesnt it? One of the greatest things about this forum is we are allowed to vent,rant,cry,carry on like nuts and someone here always has our back!!

Sorry your having a bad time today and heres hoping you get relief real soon.

I can certainly feel for you as i have had intractable headaches for thirteen years. I also get massages regularly. I am not on any meds as nothing has helped me and believe me I have tried them all. I keep ice on my head all the time.
I hope you feel better soon.

Hi there....

Just wanted to say to make sure and drink PLENTY of water!!! This helps release the toxins after a massage and help any extra soreness or headaches afterwards.

Stay away from salt or simple carbs as well for the next few days.

Do you have a muscle relaxer that you can take once in awhile if things get really bad? I find that they are very helpful after I've tried everything to get the spasms out and just take one and then rest for a bit.
