Abnormal EKG

I had an abnormal EKG during a routine physical. I've been waking my lately gasping for air and severe headaches come on anytime I strain or raise blood pressure (especially during sex). Does anyone know what this might be? I have a follow up with a cardiologist next week but am afraid to even go to sleep. The fact is, this has made me very fearful of death and I don't know why I'm suddenly afraid that I am going to die. I had an episode with my heart 10 years ago and was told I have anxiety. Every time I have a funny feeling with my heart I take kolonopin. Now with this abdominal EKG, I wonder if its been my heart all along. Advice please?

Welcome to healing well All a, I also throw a bad Ekg and there's nothing wrong with my heart. My meds cause it. Many outside things can cause it and it's safe to be checked out it generally is anxiety based.

You haven't offered enough info really but from what I'm seeing is anxiety and not to worry unless it becomes overwhelming,we all at some point in our lives think and fear death.
It's not easy to except ones own mortality but acceptance becomes somewhat easier as we age.
