Well yes,you did draw attention and looks like I'm going to be the first to reply.

Thank you but not necessary. We are a group of people who have traveled a road that many of us shouldn't have had to. It's a road filled with pain,confusion,depression and multiple trials and errors. Hits and misses.

Somehow we have come out the other end of that road armed with knowledge of chronic pain and all that entails. Knowledge has become our power,our motivator,sometimes our only saving grace.

We have been blessed by the founders of HW with a place to bring that knowledge and experience to help others along the way and find help as well should we stumble still.

Many times this is all we can do to push thru another hour,day,week when our own pain and troubles come calling.

We find comfort in knowing others know without us having to voice it in detail.

We have awesome moderators who are deligent and dedicated to keeping this forum what it was meant to stand for.

Then someone like yourself come along,posts a post like this and reminds us again why we do what we do here and that maybe just maybe all of our pain and pot holes were not in vain and we truly can use this knowledge most of us would have liked to have avoided to make a difference in someone else's life.

Glad that things are going well for you and you are able to keep working while handling the pain issues.

I still listen to my scanner (only now it's an Android app!) as it will always be in my blood to know what is going on with my station and Batallion:)

We are a group bound together by our experiences. Sharing my experience and knowledge is only a small thing, but it is important to me. I look forward to answering questions and offering the "virtual shoulder" that is sometimes needed.

Because as much as you r family and friends may care about you, they haven't gone through the same stuff, ya know? That's why there are military unit reunions, and college classmates who have scatted across the country still get together, sometimes after 50 years. The bind of a shared experience.

We are here to help those who may have a moment of weakness. We are here in our moments of weakness, knowing that someone is going to help us up. And by banding together, we become stronger.
