I'm no doc, just a patient, so take my advice with a grain of salt, maybe a handful.

Bleeding for a month is not normal. You definitely need to see a doctor. You didn't give any specifics, so I can't say what kind of doctor, but you'll figure it out. You really should treat the cause of the problem, not just symptoms.

Most of us take too many vitamins and we should be tested to see if we need anything before just taking a bunch simply because they are sold everywhere. I get anemic and get my hematocrit, iron levels tested once in a while. I need iron, but taking it every day makes me sick.

Except for K, vitamins don't stop bleeding. K isn't generally available, but eating leafy greens works very well. Other vitamins contribute, but check with your doctor!

I am also lacking in D3 especially in winter. I've been tested more than once. I even got my husband to take some (2000 units a day for him) and his brown spots from the iron deposits left by old bruises disappeared. I calculated I need 4000 units, on top of my tiny multi-vitamin and calcium to get up to the new normal. For every 1 unit you are low you need 100 units of D3. I'm also no doc, but as Jim and Alcie have said you really need to be getting a good medical work-up on this one. Your GP should be able to run the base-line tests - and also those that measure things like your blood clotting time - to look for clues with where to go next and how to manage you.

Take it from someone that has been doing this since December after being on IV antibiotics for an infection on my leg. I just got out of the hospital with c diff plus a bad UC flare. Do not mess around with this.Take care.....Susie

Thus my warning. 2 yrs ago my 25 yr old daughter did the same thing. Hospital told her exactly what they told you.

Two weeks later her husband comes in from work to find her curled up in horrible pain. Call ambulance and she's rushed to surgery with a ruptured tube from the ectopic pregnancy.

Almost died,could have. Lost an ovary to boot.

Ok now no thanks to that ER

Just wanted you to be aware of the possible dangers. Its high odds that it could be something other then that so most ERS dont put out money for ultrasounds and such especially on weekends or holidays when they have to call a tech in and every once in awhile their gamble loses and that time it did. You dont want to take the chance.

If at all possible see someone to make sure it is something else and not this. If it continues you need to get another Dr to pay attention and recheck as even if it is a pregnancy that is ectopic in nature it doesnt always show a positive result on pregnancy tests. The only way to rule it out is by Ultrasound.

it was an ectopic misscaraige.

So sorry to hear but am not surprised. That was my reason for pushing you. Many Era are quick to not spend money ordering the tests needed to find it or rule it out. They guess and sometimes they're wrong.

I am so very sorry. I had several losses myself and they are so emotionally painful. If there is ever a time you need support, it is after a loss like this.

I did go on to have a healthy child.....with great medical intervention, so please don't add that worry to your already overburdened plate.
