drtinsac have they checked you for thrush? Just a month or so ago I had bad burning sensation in my mouth mostly in my tongue, had it for three or four weeks and when I had an appointment with my PCP I finally mentioned it to him, he checked my mouth and tongue out thoroughly, and said he thought I had Thrush. I told him I did not see any white patches in my mouth or on my tongue, and was he sure it was Thrush? Well he said I had really small tiny white dots on and under my tongue, in inside my mouth, so he gave me a script
for nystatin Suspension and told me to gargle with 5 ml of it three times a day, and in just a few days the burning sensation was gone! Thrush is a yeast infection, it is often common with people with compromised immune systems, such as cancer patients under going chemo therapy and such. I don't know how I got it but, that was what was causing my burning tongue and burning mouth. I do know that some people have a difficult time with it and getting rid of it. I am not saying that is what you have but that can be one cause, also I believe that a Vitamin B-12 deficiency can also cause burning mouth and tongue. Have you been checked for any vitamin deficiencies? Hope that might help you, I do wish you well and hope you can get some answers to your burning mouth problem!
