Tigger Thumb Surgery?

i had trigger thumb surgery in 1987 and all seemed good until a few months ago (now 37). i am having pain and stiffness. I can feel a small nodule that tingles or almost shocks when i touch it with anything, mostly notice it on the steering wheel when driving. I have no strength in it either and can't push with it anymore. Has anyone heard of this situation where problems with surgery occur so long after? does this require another surgery? Last time I told the Dr. they just gave me a splint. Need to make another appt. or go to a different Dr. maybe...…

Hello RR and welcome to the forum. Im not sure if its actually the old re-occuring or something altogether new but if it's causing pain or movement issues I would definitely be having someone take a look at it.

Any kind of bump,nodule or lump regardless of where it is certainly needs evaluated. May be nothing more then plica or scar tissue build up but obviously some nerve involved with what your describing.

Not much help but wanted to welcome you to chronic pain at HW. This is an awesome place for understanding people who understand living with chronic pain.
