barb, happy anniversary!!!! we have a Melting Pot restaurant in Greenville, wonder if its the same kind of place, where they do fondue?

I know its hard to be in any kind of celebrating mood when you are in so much pain, but sure you tried your best.

Since my wife was off work today, it aggervated me to have such a bad pain day, she works so hard during the week, I hate being the "bad news' when she's off on the weekends. We did the best we could with some minor shopping, then had lunch at Applebee's. The rest of the day I was in bed, in pain.

Hope things improve for you, and again, happy anniversary.

Its possible Hubby's a little depressed? If your daughters worried imagine that Hubby's feeling it too. He doesn't know exactly how to talk about it to you. Mostly family doesn't want to voice their fears because they then become real. He most likely will never talk to you about, them for fear that he would say something you haven't thought about and worry you.

There are different kinds of leukemia as you know and even the worst are very treatable. Unfortunately the word itself strikes fear.

Now I'm not your family even though I care about you so I'm not tiptoeing around your feelings. Dont you ever think that disappearing would be better for any of them!! They would be devastated if you weren't there. The worry alone would kill them.

They've both been this far with you do you really think honey they would want it any other way? They care so much about you and to not be able to do everything they could for you just is unthinkable.

If it were me I would search out some good informative reading material about the specific type of leukemia I have and making sure it had a lot of successful treatment options and outcomes and leave it lying around the house. Hopefully out of curiosity they both will randomly pick it up and read it.

After you know they have then bring up a subject included and possibly open a door for discussion.

Okay you've been congratulated, scolded and educated so take yourself to bed and get some much needed rest.

It definitely didn't go as expected, it ended up raining a lot so I ended up in a lot of pain and I felt so frustrated and just...unworthy? He does so much for me and all I wanted was to make him happy, not end up crying.

I know he was disappointed. Sometimes I feel like its worse to have to watch what he has to endure to be with me, than to have to deal with everything the Cerebral Palsy brings.

But yesterday he was in a good mood and he was really sweet to me, waited on me because he knew how bad things were for me. I just feel so blessed to have him. It's funny how when you lose the ability to keep going for yourself, you find it in you for the people you love and I think that's what it's all about.

I know you don't want your family to watch you get sicker, but I think they would rather have you any way they can get you than not at all, and I think you'll probably stay healthier longer if you have them around you vs. being alone.

I don't remember if I have shared this with you or not? LOL
My mother had leukemia. She had some rough years(3) but was eventually cured and lived 14 more wonderful years!I would not trade ONE of the days I had with her. Good, bad horendous(sp?) or other wise. I am the yougest of 6 kids and I was 10. My dad went throught it all! Some stories are now funny, but not all.(Fire trucks at the house after driving an hour to and from the hospital? and thats one that is funny:)) He also felt blessed with every day he had with my mom. They were married 31 years.
I'm sure you family feels the same.
