Went to Spine Dr. on Tuesday.  Had not seen him since 2009.  He want's to do the usual mri and plain view x-rays

but what I am excited about is that he first wants me to have my tkr re-evaluated as well as my ruptured acl.

While in office he called knee ortho doc and requested that he see me.  This knee Dr. actually performed a few

surgeries on me and I am very comfortable with him - he remembers me from the past and agreed to see me.

I go to see him on 6/18.  My spine Dr. wants to rule out gait problem creating spine pain.

I really trust the spine Dr. and my previous fusion was a success.  The knee Dr. recently moved back to California.

I was so relieved after that appointment and felt like I was able to accomplish more in 30 minutes than I have

in last 2l/2 year's with current Dr. 

It's amazing how exhausting these appointments can be.  Just the anticipation alone.

Hey Caligirl that is wonderful news. I do hope that you can get some much needed answers from the knee dr. You are so right about how exhausting dealing with drs can be.

I love it when I come on and see one of us actually getting somewhere! ! Its a good day for you and I'm sure that even though it taxing your glad you went.

Sounds like a good appointment. And yes, I agree with just how exhausting these appointments can be. I'm very comfortable with my spine surgeon, so I'm not as bad as I used to be. I used to just want to come home and sleep.

I agree so much with gait problems causing back problems. I had more than twenty years of knee issues, and many many surgeries. One knee was much worse than the other. When my back gave out, it turned out I had developed scoliosis also, my surgeon said from years of walking way over to one side. Everything seems to have a knock on effect. I had a successful fusion surgery, where he also corrected the scoliosis, only to end up with sacroiliac problems. What I didn't know pre fusion was that lumbar fusion puts increased load on the SI joints. Now three SI fusions later, including one revision because one failed, I need to have my partial knee replacement replaced, in the hope I can learn to walk properly again.

Praying that you can get some answers. None of us wants surgery but if that's what it takes to help, them it's maybe worth it. Keep us updated.
