Thanks for sharing all that Lahaina(interesting name).
Most of my family thinks I "mask" it very well and don't know the extent of what I go through. Only those who actually have dealt with it understand sadly.

Those who've experienced pain will understand and those who haven't will be judgmental. Just the way people are.
I tend to keep everything to myself other than my wife. I try to keep what I'm going through away from my kids too. I don't want them to think back to their childhood and remember their Dad as laying around in pain 24 hours. Last week during vacation we went boogy boarding in the ocean with 6 foot waves. Thank God my meds and treatment are working for me because in the past this was impossible. Even the next day I was hurting but nothing I couldn't handle.
Both my kids thanked me for doing that with them, they had a blast. I went swimming with them every day and threw the football around to them. Even my wife was shocked but she knew without Pain Management I wouldn't be able to do this so their is no judgement about what I'm taking. Even my judgmental parents who watched me in the ocean was shocked.

I'm working harder than ever to hide from my family, everyone, at the moment, what's going on. Our closing came sooner than anticipated, and we're starting our relocation (of "stuff") in 8 days!!
I think I'm stressing about the effect my lack of ability to help everyone with the moving, even being at the new house with my family, just in presence, is upsetting me. It sure isn't helping. But everyone is so glowing and happy and excited. I know this is temporary, so if it weren't for this board, I'd probably start spilling my marbles in the driveway,....

Great news!!
Remember to LET others do everything they can.. save your energy for things that ONLY YOU can do.. taking care of yourself & doing things that ONLY you can do..
Much as I want a clean house, if doing that means it is too painful for a little sweetie to climb into my lap & snuggle, relax & nap, then cleaning has to wait for another day.
Prayers for smooth transition

Diane, thank you. I'll never stop thanking you guys because since joining the forum, I truly enjoy the way people are not shy at reminding me when I'm either slacking, or pushing too hard, and left to my own wicked ways, I'd get in my own way.
For that, we thank you!

I just started taking vitamins called Neuropathy Support Formula B1 and B12 vitamins, R-alpha Lipoic Acid.I have allot of nerve pain and have burning mouth syndrome. So far the burning in my leg's and in my mouth has stopped.I also have been taking Nerve Repair Optimizer.
It is very hard for people to understand having chronic pain. I have a sister which really hurt's that she thought I don't have headaches. You really can't just look at someone and tell if they suffer with it. I look like I'm very healthy, but I do have chronic pain.
Sincerely, friend pain
