We all have slip ups and personal views. The rules I grew up with were never discuss religion and politics and you will always have successful friendships. We aren't upset or mad at you. We just didn't want to discuss it. We (in my opinion) aren't holding it against you. Don't get to stressed over it hun

I'm with Morgan,

We're human, we all make booboos as well as having booboos. No worries.

I've certainly done my share, and this is a very forgiving and understanding group of people.

What happened is tragic and it sucks, but we're not all bad down here in FL :)

You're forgiven, and there's no reason why you can't come to one of these get togethers near you if you're able to.

Kind of topic but JNT's comment reminded me,....given I've been living in the Boston region for years.....

And yet, I still for the life of me cannot understand any of the various Boston accents! None of 'em. Even my Mother in Law. My ear just doesn't pick it up.

But if you live in Boston, and you're not Irish or Italian, tread quietly.

Kathy I saw it as soon as you posted, saw Sookie steer it back to the issue at hand. I opted at that time not to edit. I later got 2 emails asking if I saw it. I went back reread,the thread was still running on topic, no new comments about anything you said. I went to the mods forum and asked some of the older mods if they saw a problem I wasn't seeing. Several mods who I trust to be fair came back and said they didnt see any and they would leave it unless someone got riled and felt the need to respond. That didn't happen.

Most people understand its a very volatile and touchy subject. Even here in FL we leave it alone. Like stated not all Southerners are racists.

If we had seen a problem one of us would have removed it. Your beating yourself up for nothing. Now stop apologizing and pick which part of this great country where we have freedom of speech and tell us which corner of it your meeting? Lol

Kathy, I second I hope you don't mean goodbye. I find your post valuable and think healingwell would be losing a great asset.
