Forgetfulness

I know how you feel. I have been forgetful as long as I can remember. I know it's very frustrating, but at least you know when it is now. I have a calendar like you would use in an office for different things. I use it to write my appointments, and anything else that I don't want to forget on. It has saved me many many times.

Yeap- add me to the list too.. mainly because I really lose track of what day of the week it is . a (paper!) Daytimer helps a lot as I use it as a journal /diary too.

I still sometimes mess up..

I used to put a poster sized board (that I changed monthly) blocked out in H-U-G-E writing (eyesight's a little funky, too), stuck it right on the front door, with all my appointments. In marker. Highlighted. Circled. With arrows!!

And still,....

I now carry with me a minimum of four pages staples together, one per month, so I can book appointments however far I need to, and I keep that with me. I can look back for reference (helps with refill dates) and book forward (some docs take months to get in).

I have forever transposed letters, dates, numbers....even when I read, I jump ahead and sort of cross them up. You're not alone. I think it's worse now because "my life" of late has revolved around getting those appointments correct, especially with this move out of state.

Now if only they made a memory pill....(I'd probably forget to take it).
