Hi again,
Good question on not changing to a long acting med but I am dealing with a Doctor who had a traumatic experience with a patient and opioids who ended up dying due to something that he messed up on. i think the person overdosed so getting this Doctor to think about me and not himself is virtually impossible. Paranoid and confrontational at best. I have been looking for a new Doctor but there is no chance my current Doctor will send me to a well respected pain clinic who know what they are doing. That frustrates me so perhaps a hospital can get me there? I am gathering as much info as I can because I have an appointment with this Doctor coming up. As for as the oxyprofen I am not too concerned about the cost as long as it gets me away from what I am taking and doing to my liver. Thanks for the suggestions. Neurontin I have not tried. Cymbalta, Lyrica, Toradol, Tramacet, Clonazepam, Serquel. Personally after reading of Lyrica and experiencing its effects after quitting it, I think it should be pulled from the market. Cymbalta made me horribly ill. I am trying to figure out how to approach this because my medication is not strong enough and to ask for a more potent dose will spawn a storm and more judgement from this person. I take 6 per day but I need 10. If I must stay on this should I ask for a strength increase vs a volume increase? I need to be out of this pain. It has been too long. Can't work a regular job because of it.You would think this would be enough for a Doctor to act in your best interest instead of his own. I am actually waking up at night thinking about this appointment because my desire to be out of pain and knowing it is possible is driving me crazy. There is nothing more frustrating than not having control when you know there is a solution.
Thanks again!
