Hello again Plumber1!
This is one of the best write-ups on Nucynta I have seen to date on the forum. The username of the member who wrote it is "grainofsalt" ….and his education of meds used for chronic pain is way over my head, but none the less, the information is usually pretty good and very detailed. I actually admire his post, and use them for reference many many times.
I believe this med is underrated, and very little was known about
it,…. as it was just approved back in 2010 or so,…. making it a fairly new med for treating chronic pain. Again, if after discussing it with your PM and he/she decides to script
it, don't give up on it too quickly….. until you either find the correct dosage and or you get used to some of the possible side effects. It can take several weeks to realize the effects if any at all. You have to be a little reasonable about
it, and if you cannot tolerate it, then certainly seek help from your PM.
