Please if in pain that is called Fibromyalgia please consider being tested for Chronic Lyme Disease

    Please listen, I know what I am talkin about. I have this, and I am in constant muscle pain and some joint pain.  For many years, finally after 23 docs, I traveled to a LYme specialist in Wash. DC, tested positive for Lyme disease.

 

It causes so many symptoms that can range from joint pain, MS symptoms, Parkinson's symptoms, eye problems, coordination issues, multiple others too.

 

The CDC refuses to agree because they have covered the issue up for decades, and do not want to reveal they were wrong in denying patients of treatment.   They just say that 3 weeks of one Antibiotic called Doxycycline is all you need.  That is not enough time, if just found and a bullseye rash then one may only need a short course of ABX, but if you have suffered longer, you need long term ABX treatment.  AND by a lyme literate doctor.

 

CDC does not want to confess to wrongdoing.  One day this will all be known. 

 

And treatment will be available but not in the near future.

Just know, that chronic pain can be a sign of Lyme.

And not such a thing as FM.

Hello Pooderdog, I am glad to read that you finally have a proper dx. Hopefully you can get on with the correct treatment and start feeling better soon. I have seen many people come through here over the years where it is not clear what their dx is and the drs say maybe Fibro, maybe Lymes. Either way, they get tested for Lymes. I think it is like anything else, if the dr is not well versed in either of these conditions then there is a good chance of not getting the proper dx. It took my sister several different drs to get the correct dx.
