Yep! What ^^Vickie^^ said.
When I broke mine (and I've broken bones in my foot at least three times, and have one pin), that's exactly what I did.
I didn't know when I broke it. It was in the middle of the night and I tripped getting off the toilet (that's what drop foot will do to you when you're half asleep)....I went to bed, and woke up with an extremely large and swollen purple foot!
It looked like it belonged to "Barney" (the dinosaur!) It didn't look like part of my own body.
My Husband (ever the empathetic fellow that he is) says, "Just walk it off!" (He didn't think it was broken!)
Yeah,...no.
Anyhoo, I did what Vickie discussed. Until I could truly bear weight on it, I would practice doing partial weight while I was sitting down and without a doubt I used a crutch to help me out.
It healed up pretty quick but I'm convinced anything going on the foot has it's own pain scale!
