Welcome to Healing Well Chronic Pain Forum UncleBuck48. Did you happen to ask your doctor to test you for Type 1 diabetes? Or did you happen to mention, that is what you thought you might have? The reason I ask is, in my experience, I have found that most doctors ( or at least allot) do not like to be second guessed by their patients. (Personal opinion I think it is an Ego problem), after all they have the education and they are the "Doctor"!!! Anyway I have found that it is easier to stroke their "ego" a little and ask the doctor about the symptoms your having and ask him/her if it is possible that it isn't type II diabetes? and does he have any recommendations as to what it could be? and how else it might be treated? Kind of lead him or her in the direction you think it might be, but let them come up with the, testing and diagnosis and solution on their own. After all the patient isn't suppose to know anything! That way you don't come off to the Doctor as trying to tell him/her what is wrong with you and what test you want and treatment. Even though you might not be doing that, you want to make sure your doctor doesn't think that you are!
I hope I am making sense to you, but I think some doctors just don't like being told what the patient has, by the patient! And if they are told, I think some of them will sometimes bulk at even doing the proper test to try and find out if the patient is right. I am not condoning this, but........This is just my insight from my personal experiences! After all Doctors are just human beings, and just because they are doctors, doesn't mean they discard allot of the sometimes petty human traits!
Just my thoughts about your situation. Good Luck to you! and hope you can get some relief from your pain!
