BunnyGirl, I will try to answer some of your questions. I think all women feel better about their self when their hair is done whether its a fresh hair cut, or color. I wear my hair short & highlighted, I go frequently for cuts & color & its a boost to my moral. But, I will point out I felt this way long before CP came along. The same goes with putting on a little make up. When I worked I had to dress up in a dress or suit & heels every day, hair fixed & makeup on. When I had to quit working I rebelled, no makeup, the hair was short so that was easy.
However, after visiting with my psychologist one day we were discussing having a routine, when I worked I had a daily routine. So, I went back to making myself more presentable for many reasons. If a friend were to call & say hey lets go to lunch or go here or there, if I was dressed & put together I would more than likely go off with her. If I had to put myself together there was a good chance I would turn it down. I also found that I would jump in the car & take off just to get out of the house. I would go off to Home Depot, Lowes, WalMart just walking around in the stores to mainly get a little exercise.
I have always organized the clothes in the closet so that is nothing new for me. I am one of those that everything has its place & some things are arranged a certain way, lol.
It is really easy for anyone to slack off on their appearance when dealing with health issues. There are days that we don't feel like doing anything with our self. It is also real easy to say why make the effort I am just here at home. I think it comes down to what the person is comfortable with too. I have never felt pressured into making myself presentable. Clothing I think most goes with what fits the best & is comfortable.
My 2 cents, lol.
