Prayers for Susie(Straydogs) Brother

He had a head injury from a fall earlier in the week and was airlifted to FW and is in ICU. He is not doing well and prognosis is guarded. Susie is on her way there now and I wanted to be sure her Brother,her and his family get those famous HW thoughts and prayers.

I will update as she updates me.

Sending prayers for both of them. This seems to be "family time" when our HW CP'ers are getting hit with bad times, and at the worst possible time, a relative gets hit as well.

The travel for her isn't going to be a cake walk, in and of itself,....and I hope that during this journey, they both are feeling and doing better.

Huge believer in the power of HW Family Prayer....I've seen it in action.

I sent my prayers out when I found out and again before bed, but given I'm up at (cough cough) another un-Godly-hour (still working on taking my LA at the right time based on Vikie's input)......sending some extra prayers out,....for Susie and her brother, and for other members who are in severe need.

This is when I wish I could fedex overnight my prayers....

Update:Susie got home and shot me an email and she is exhausted,been having troubles herself this week. Hopefully now she is resting.

The Trauma Dr did what they are notoriously famous for doing,giving family the worst and hoping for the best. His other Drs are more optimistic regarding his recovery.

He is some better but still having some confusion and having issues with leg being numb. The brain hemorrage is being treated but treatment puts him in danger of cardiac problems due to history of issues.

Therapy is working on the leg issues.

So he isnt out of the woods yet but her reports promising for a good recovery. She was worried about leaving him alone but those wonderful comfortable chairs every hospital orders for its patients family beat her. Keep up the prayers and healing thoughts and if she doesnt check-in herself after getting some rest I will post another update.

Some how I missed this thread. Many prayers for Susie's brother and her family.

Those chairs are awful. Glad that she is home and able to rest comfortably.

Update: I heard from her earlier that the CT confirmed no stroke. She was waiting to head back up to see what the Neuro has to say.

They are pretty worried at this point of course so continue to pray and I will continue to let you know what I know.

Update: Please continue your prayers as he is still fighting to gain full awareness and Susie said they were going to repeat the CT since he still has one eye non-reactive. She is worried he will have to be taken to surgery to stop the bleed,relieve the pressure and due to his health issues this could be dangerous.

She is wearing herself to a frazzle and of course her CP is revolting. When I spoke with her earlier she was sitting in the recliner trying to get her swollen feet and legs to go down so she could return to the hospital. So please remember her as well. Its easy to say take of yourself but when its family we tend to do what we have to do even though we know we will pay the price.

She appreciates everyones prayers and thoughts and I will continue to keep this thread updated.

Still checking in on Susie. It's always a challenge to take care of our own health when we're also wanting to take care of our family.

They are both in my prayers and thoughts,....healing for them both, fighting their own concerns, and hoping when those times permit that they can be together, that it helps them both in their strength and big boosters for their health.

She's not getting a break in any of this either, and I can only imagine how nervous and worried she is.

Lots of caring and heart-felt prayers being sent their way.....

Well keep sending those prayers. I did not hear from Susie at all yesterday and thats very odd. I emailed her several times letting her know we all are still thinking about her and her brother.

Hoping she lets me know something today and all is well.

Still have not heard anything. Now I am worried,I talk to her everyday,hoping she is just busy with hospital and trying to rest whens she is home. Hopefully she will get a chance to email me soon.

Thanks for your continued support and I know she will be grateful for all the prayers.
