Hey Vickie, and everyone else. I've really been missing the boards here, and the support here. Things have been extremely rough for a long time, and, like a thousand other things, logging in just kept getting put on my "I'll do it tomorrow" list.
Yeah, getting my meds has been a battle. For a little while they approved everything on time, then they started their same nonsense of wanting to do a review (which takes a week or more) of each RX when I turned them into the pharmacy... and because of the way Dr quack, who I got stuck with for over 6 months, was doing everything, I got stuck having to pay for many of them, and waiting for insurance approval to get refunded by the pharmacy. I had finally gotten with a PM around September last year, then mid October, he resigned from the clinic, and I got stuck with Dr quack at that clinic until a month ago, who is just a regular MD who doesn't know much at all about chronic pain or a gastric bypass. The place is actually like a franchise industrial injury clinic that primarily does physicals, and light urgent care, but that's where the PM was. And it turns out, the lazy, incompetent people there weren't turning in any paperwork.
I finally got with a new PM on the 4th of this month (march), and am finally getting my meds, covered, and finally getting something that seems to work. Dr quack kept randomly flopping my meds between nucynta, norco, and percocet, all at very low daily doses, leaving my pain almost totally out of control, and kept bombarding me with "that pain is mostly in your head, you have to learn how to fight it without the meds", and other nonsense like that. Yeah, my head made this stuff appear in my back, and I'm imagining this pain and swelling in my legs, that gets so bad, I can't pull on a pair of pants. It was just a total nightmare!
Anyways, I finally got with a new PM, and he didn't hesitate to start switching things around, and I'm finally getting some relief.
