New test tomorrow: bowel transit test

Hello everyone.

I have a new test tomorrow: bowel transit test.

In this tests perhaps the doctor could see something wrong in my poor bowel.

Meanwhile I have a lot of pain during the day, almost all the time. And I have green stools and diarrhea all the days.

The doctors says to me that perhaps I have Ileitis.

To see the result I must wait 1 week :(

oh The doctor has prescribe to me: Rifaximin, this is an antibiotic specific for the bowel zone. I pray that this works for me.

Sometimes I prefer not to follow on, this is not a life....

Hope the test goes well!

I am interested in hearing how it goes and more about what the test is like and how it's done.

I know your quality of life probably seems like no quality at all right now. Hang in there. Keep fighting. You never know when they will figure something out and find a way to give you your life back!

Hope your doing well tonight.

I was just thinking. I was reading your post and something you posted caught my eye. You mention green stools and diarrhea. Have the doctors tested to see if you possibly have celiac or may be possibly gluten intolerant?

I was just curious. Alot of the kids that my children go to school with have celiac and the stomach pain, stools and nausea were some of their first symptoms.

Hopefully they can figure out whats going on with you soon.

We all know the feeling of not wanting to continue on and how depressing it is only having "half a life" or less, but we do struggle on, sometimes out of nothing more than pure stubbornness and other times out of the desire to not let our problems win.

If you find yourself becoming overwhelmed by your health I suggest that you see a psychiatrist or mental health counselor and get some help in dealing with the mental anguish. Depression is very common among those of us who deal with chronic health issues.

I know you're getting drained, but please remember the up-side to much of this. The more tests that get done, the closer you are to finding out just what's going on.

It's another step in the right direction.

Please let us know how you make out during the test, and of course, when you get the results!

Hi Seymour, I just wanted to wish you a good luck today. I also wanted to ask you, have you been tested for a c-diff infection? I'm sorry if this has already been asked and answered but I've just recently been trying to come back after an absence and trying to catch up, albeit slowly. I've had a lot of the same symptoms you have and they finally found c-diff in my case. I still need more testing because the c-diff can cause all kinds of other issues, but I wanted to ask that real quick before I forgot.

Anyway, good luck today! Let us know how it goes.
