why we must suffer?

I think its all about perspective. There are many things we take for granted. Living in constant pain is tough but I'm lucky to have many things in life that are amazing. Its taken ALLOT of work to get to that place mentally but it has been SO worth it. I refuse to allow myself to be a victim. It takes allot more energy to be upset than it does to have peace with it. For me, being in a creative field, has allowed me to channel allot of emotions out which is very therapeutic. But it can be anything you like to do.

Seymour......do you have a therapist that you see regularly? Having someone who is not in anyway connected to your situation can be very helpful & insightful. Learning to get some control back from the pain is very rewarding. Not saying that it will physically help the pain but can definitely, even on a smaller level, increase our overall quality of life. I think thats super important for us who deal with high pain levels on a daily basis.

Its not fair but thats life. We can't control that. We can only control how we react to it. With something like Chronic Pain......I assume that I'll have to deal with this my whole life. If I let myself fall victim to that than I already lost. I can however live my life to the fullest possible & be hopeful that I continue to live a blessed life.

I don't know why anyone need suffer, whether they are good or bad. I do know if I go down this 'why me?' road too long or too far, my mental health suffers. I know that this is my road to travel and I hope that I can help you travel yours.
