Hi Sunny13 I am a bit curious, have you seen a neurologist about
your symptoms in your thumb, or hand and arm? A pinched nerve in your neck could cause the symptoms that your experiencing, just because the impingement or pinch nerve is up high away from your symptoms does not mean that the symptoms should start out right at the impingement and work its way down. Allot of people with nerve root impingement in their spine dont have symptoms right at that area, but instead have problems in their fingers, hands or forearms. Same with the lower back, a person might have a numb toe, or foot, or burning pain in their foot or lower leg, but no real symptoms in their lower back where the nerve root is being impinged upon! It could be something other than a pinched nerve, such as carpal tunnel, or something intirely different. But personally I think I would want some test done, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and even an MRI of the cervical spine. Just my non profession oppinion. But something doesn't sound right and if it is getting progressively worse then something is definitely going on!
