For the past two and a half years I have been dealing with chronic low back pain and pain in my hips along with stiffness. The low back pain is right where my back ends and my backside begins. It is worse in the morning and after doing a lot of standing or walking. I have no numbness or tingling. My hips are always out of alignment which causes my leg left to be longer than my right. Also my left hip over rotates and my right hip doesn't rotate enough. I am just looking for suggestions of what it sounds like it might be so I can bring those things up to my doctor and we can rule them out with testing.

Go and get some bloodwork done by your primary doctor to rule out the Rheumatoid Arthritis factors, Inflammatory factor and getting bloodwork would be your first step and your primary should be able to get the ball rolling on this for you.
Then you can work from that.

Welcome to HW.Sounds like the pain in your lower back could be coming from a disc problem at L5-S1 or L5-L4 which I think are the bottom two.

I have bulges at my bottom 4 discs.Standing and doing any bending agrivates mine.

An MRI will show what's wrong.

I have had lots of blood tests, x-rays, and an MRI, they all showed up normal. Right now the only diagnoses I have gotten is from my physical therapist and he said he thinks it is sacroilitis. But not all of my symptoms match up to sacroilitis.

Glad to hear your MRI was good.

After giving in to the pain the last 5 years I've joined a gym.I don't do a whole lot but it's helped my back more than I could have imagined.

I hope you get some answers.

Did they check your vitamin D's and B's as if your low on these vitamins it can greatly increase your pain.
Might be time for you to try to find a good Rheumatoid Arthritis doctor and write down everything you have here.

Still would be good to get a Rheumatoid Arthritis doctor appointment to help weed out a few things that mri's can miss...and then you can go from there...You mentioned in the RA Forum that PT was helping so keep up with that. Try Ice packs when you get home from PT. Maybe try some creams or lotions like aspercream to see if that can help...Maybe ask your doctor about a portable tens unit as well...

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I am going to talk to my primary about a referral to a rhemotologist, and I am going to try another round of si joint injections and continue best I can with physical therapy. I use a tense unit a lot also.

Bunny, I responded to you a couple of days ago regarding this issue on your Sacrolitis subject question. I don't know if you ever read it since there was not a response, but I told you it might be your facet joint or piriformis muscle. I have very similar symptoms as you and SI injections have not helped.
