It takes so much time and effort, and above all, conviction on *our* part. As Vickie mentioned, we have an invisible condition that's often misunderstood or confused with the type of acute pain others equate with the last time they pulled their back out trying to move a desk or something.
It is....not...the....same....thing!
It's futile to try and explain, and it only hurts *us* in the long run because it's exhausting.
Hey, I'm still learning, along with many others here, to draw boundaries and borders, and to clearly make sure certain topics are simply off limits and not up for debate. Period. No hints, no explanations and above all, no excuses.
(I'm preaching this to myself as well because it's a lesson I'm working on as we speak).
