opana

Hey guys. I'm waiting on my PA to get Opana(oxymorphone) 10mg.
I have never taking this and only heard of it recently.
I know its different for everybody, but was curious about what your experience have been. Would you say it compares for oxycontin? i know nothing.
its name makes you think of oxycodone and morphine but I"m told they have nothing to do with those meds, just the chemistry derived from whatever.
would you say its just like the other ER meds, just another one?

Question about waiting on PA also:
cannot wait for the PA to go through. found it odd my insurance requires you take the name brand once the pa goes though. BC cash price was $250.
(never knew this before this week) They say I can pay cash and if PA goes through within 2 weeks i can bring in receipt for a refund. But the paper work by dr has to have the correct dates to get the refund. LIke i was going to pay cash aug 1, but when I called the PA paper work hadn't started, so I couldn't get refund. if the paper work says the PA is good from aug 3rd- whenever, I cannot pay cash before the 3rd to get that refund if that makes sense.
Once the date is listed on paper work, I can pay cash and hope the PA goes through within 2 weeks to get refund. Should I risk hoping it takes less than 2 weeks for PA for process so I can get refund? I really need it as I'm having to use my BT meds only now, and will run short if I do this too long but can't afford the $250

Hey Ang.

I just started on the 5 mg Opana Thursday about noon.2 a day.

It's time released OxyMorphone.

I'm also taking 2 mg of Dilaudid x 4 a day.So it's hard
for me to guage the Opana.But I think I would be in pain without it.
I go back in 10 days and I'm going to see if she'll raise me to 10 mg and I think I'll be good.

What did the oxyCONTIN cost you?

I hope can get it reduced or something else that works.

These are the 1st meds I've ever taken that work.I'm taking uit like they said.

Take a dilaudid 1st then 1-2 hrs later take the Opana.I try to wait 12 hrs to take the 2nd Opana.

What milligram of the oxycontin were you taking?

From what I've read the Opana 10 you take is equivilant to a 20 mg oxycontin.

They make 20 mg and 40 mg Opana.
