I am tar and I have been giving my story under irritable bowel syn-
drome under Special Time With My Daughter. I have been suffering
from cronic back pain for over 40 years. On 5/24/12 I had a spinal
cord stimulator implanted for extreme back, hip and leg pain. I
seemed to be doing better for a time. Then I started to have
seizures at first I did not realize what they were, but my Dr. said
that is what they were and so we needed to take the stimulatorout.
It was explanted on 4/10/14. It seemed ok for a few hours but the
seizures came back with a vengence that night, I could hardly keep
my legs and arms under the covers. Then I was watching my
daughter after she had her toncils taken out, I am sorry if you have
already read this uder my other blog.. She talked to me for a couple
of days talking about growing up, what we had done as a family etc.
I stopped her because I could not remember any of the things she
was talking about. I talked with my other daughter and my son, then
my wife of over 45 years. I could'nt remember a thing of what we
had done. I could not remember my childrens births or my grandsons
I had lost my memory of the last 66 years. This was all because of
the implant and explant of the spinal cord stimulator so if anyone
is considering the implant of one of these think twice. I wish I had.
My seizures are so strong now and the pain so sever I can hardly
go on these stimulators were recalled by the FDA 10/31/13 so
again if you are thinking of having one implanted check with the
FDA. Thank you again tar
