New member intro with question.

Hi,, Im New Hear I Was Hoping Someone Could Help Me Out With Some Advice I Had Trigger Thumb Release Surgery On Aug.8 The Dr Sent Me Home&Said He Would See Me In Two Weeks For Stitches To Be Removed I Wasnt Given Any Other Instructions, , After Stitches Where Removed He Said Everythings Great&Sent Me OnMy Way No Exercises Or Anything,, 5 Days Later I Had To Call&Go See Him I Had A Huge Hard Knot Develop about An Inch Under Site Of Stitches The Size Of A Dime&I Had Informed Him That If I opened My Hand I Was Getting Really Bad Pain In My Palm,, He Said To Massage The Knot &Pull My Thumb Out Extended Until It Hurts &Hold It There Like 30 Seconds,, Needless To Say I Tryed To Go Back In 1 Week Later&Couldnt Be Seen Im Now Experiencing Red Imflamation All Around Where Stiches Where Sever Pain opening Hand All The Way Constant Severly Sharp Pains In Palm Of My Hand Feels Like My Hand Is Going To Snap Shut Huge Knot All The Way Around Low Part Of Thumb Constant Hurting,, Please Help Me If You Have Any Advise Or Recommendations"

Im appalled that a surgeons refusing to see you for complications post op. Not surprised unfortunately.

I personally would go to the hospital ER and let them have a look. I dont like the sound of your description of the hand. Better safe then sorry.

Let them know you have tried to get an appointment.

Hi, I just wanted to welcome you. I would definitely be finding a different doctor to take over your care if they won't even get you in and in the meantime go to the er. I agree with the others, it needs to be checked out right away.
