My nerve damage was found when I had an EMG before my back surgery, and then subsequently, I had another EMG done a couple of months back to see if I was showing any improvement since my surgery. So while I've greatly improved (and learned to live with new restrictions and CP, but hey, I'll take what I can get), among a few other nerves, the peroneal consistently has registered zeros. Not even a dang blip.
As far as the shin thing goes, yep, the impact left me with a divot too. I'm just a tad concerned about this sphere of hard congested tissue lateral to my anterior tib. I'm seeing my PCP in 2 weeks, and I'll bring it up to her then. I'm wondering if an ultrasound might reveal what's mucking up in there.
The nerve pain in that limb I've come to almost enjoy (vs. not being able to feel a gersh dern thing before), so that's all cool. But this bizarre bone pain,...even though I've had it for 2 years (or maybe *because* I've had it for 2 years?) has got me feeling buggy.
I suppose if it was something like compartment syndrome, I'd have figured that out by now??
