Schawanomma

Well, it's *almost* confirmed that I have one.

Anyone know about this? And could it be responsible for the rest of my issues? I suppose it's not known yet what parts of my brain it's causing stress on.

I'm beginning to think I have pudendal nerve damage resulting from my hysterectomy. I can't found a whole lot out there about this possible result, but clearly it is often a result of pelvic surgery.

I agree - the thing is I don't see the doctor until 10/31 and the ENT until 11/3 :( The waiting part stinks. The doctor won't even talk to me. I'm pretty frustrated. He keeps having his office manager relay messages.

Would that make you mad?

Sounds like a very busy practice. I'm sure if it was an emergency he would've called you by now. Yours is a shorter wait then my 3 months of frustrations...you will get the results, so think calmly and write down all your questions, like what is the next step?
Sorry you have to wait, your doctor might be busy trying to think or schedule your next appointments/referrals and what further testing needs to be done, trying to get these booked takes time. You will get your answers, I wish I could give them to you. Try not to let this get to you, but think of how much better you will be once you get this take. Care of.. waiting is so very hard, I do understand, especially hard when you don't have a family to talk to or that would understand.
I have to wait 2 months because of a insurance change to see if a new medication will be covered for my RA and I'm in a huge RA flair and nothing else to try. Try to focus for now on your son and trying to get help with him so you can go see the doctors.

Vickie - yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. I told my husband, oh well, if it was emergent, they'd let me know right away and be able to get me in to the ENT sooner, right? I sure hope that's the case!

I know you all understand how much the waiting stinks. I just want to talk to the doctor but I can't get him on the phone. Regardless of the severity of the issue, there is an issue and I wish he would just call to say hey, how are you feeling, here's what to expect, etc., but I guess I just continue to deal with it on my own.

Now, to stay away from Dr. Google ...

They will rarely talk to you via the phone. They cannot guarantee it's you they're speaking with and that could get them in some trouble with the privacy act. You have to understand that for a Dr to call you regardless of his reason for doing so doesn't just involve him picking up the phone. Someone has to locate your chart, he has to step away from likely an already overbooked patient load or ggive up part of his lunch hour, then he has to document that conversation or transcribe it so someone else can chart it. So if he does all that for the amount of phone calls or labs that come in the course of a day patients with appointments are going to be waiting or not seen at all. To ask if your OK? Is it really conceivable for them to do that? You know yourself that every person he gets on the phone is not going to say "Oh I'm great or worried " and hang up. They are going to want info, reassuring, options and explanation. They really don't have that kinda time and still give those paying patients with appointments quality care and so generally unless you are on a personal level with him he's not likely unless it's a life or death, health issue and waiting would endanger safety.

Now you know all that already and I realize worrying is natural but the only way it really changes anything is from a bad standpoint. No one ever got better by worrying and stress.
