about seratonin syndrome, from what I've read all you have to worry about is taking 2 meds that both have seratonin reputable inhibitors, or basically getting too much seratonin in your system. If you are taking an SSRI OR SSNRI than you definitely don't want to take Tramadol or Nucynta. Like I said, I found Nucynta to be worthless for my pain, Tramadol was only a little better.
I really feel for you, being on the pain med run around. It is so hard to find both a regime that works for you and a Dr. To Rx it. Best of luck . . . Q
Q, I do take an SNRI (Effexor). And I had a REALLY bad reaction (as in, intolerable - mentally, for the most part) to Tramadol.
I have a nerve block scheduled today with my PM doc - I'm going to tell him I'll just stick with the Opana 5mg for now. I've given up on having adequate pain relief. He's willing to try a lot of different things with me but I've just about
reached my limit.
Plus, the co-pay on the Nucynta was over $60, and I really can't afford that right now with the holidays coming up. The Opana costs me $5, so ...
