Okay, so. My first nerve block was a superior hypogastric block. I got sedation for that one. I felt like I got about
80% relief for 1 and a 1/2 days, about
.
My second one, I did with just local numbing agent. No relief.
We tried a third time. This time, inferior hypogastric with a higher dose of active medication. That was about
two hours ago. I'm back up to about
an 8 today, it's been a REALLY bad day - maybe stress induced, my mother in law is coming to visit and the house is a MESS. At any rate, I was crying during the procedure, which I never, EVER do. Squeezing the nurse's hand for dear life.
I didn't have sedation the second or third time and had no relief, so my theory is that it was really just the anaesthesia that helped me with my pain the first time.
I don't want to do it anymore. It's not worth the time and pain when there's zero relief.
PLUS - right now, my right leg is so weak it's buckling if I try to stand on it with even half my weight.
So much for THAT helping me get through Thanksgiving. I have some good marijuana and marijuana capsules but even THEY aren't helping right now.
Definitely one of those days where if I were a "normal" person, I'd go to the ER for an IV shot, even to feel better for a few hours.
I hope the rest of you are having better days than I am!
