I treat painful backs all the time and at 19 years of age you are far too young to be having all this trouble !
As you may have gathered, your height - and from such tender years - is the background problem here, with you having to bend forward to reach down to things (most work surfaces will be too low for you) and even to hear what everybody else is saying. This means that you whole upper body will have spent a lot of time stooped forward with most of its weight in front of the line of gravity. This brings huge compressive forces to bear on the lower lumbar segments. You will probably have developed a forward stooped posture and you have to work to alter the status quo here. Obviously you cannot change your height, but you can reverse a stooped posture and in so doing, decompress the base of your spine. You will read in the attached link on simplebackpain.com that spinal decompression also reverses the the spinal stoop. You will also read that although a 'sustained stoop' is bad for the lumbar discs (it smothers them, forces water out and stops them 'breathing') up-and-down quick bending as in doing ordinary everyday things is the lifeblood of discs. It sucks fluid back in but it also stimulates them at a cellular level so that the discs are better able to repair. Disc repair is not an overnight thing, simply because their metabolic rate is so sleepy. It takes months, if not years - and depends on how broken down they are to start with. You should also read about all that you can on 'why spinal decompression works'. Best of all . . . you are best doing it yourself, so you are not dependent on expensive and time-consuming 'therapy' in a clinic somewhere. I try to make all my patients self treating.
